Bumpi’s Glow Trace Guide
A parent guide for using Glow Trace to support fine motor skills, pre-writing movement, and calm sensory play.
What the Game Teaches
Glow Trace invites children to move their finger across a glowing shape path. This supports fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and early pre-writing motions. Before children write letters, they practice lines, curves, circles, and controlled movement.
The night sky setting keeps the activity calm. It is especially useful for wind-down moments when a child still wants to interact but needs something quieter.
How Parents Can Use It
- Start with one shape, not every option.
- Trace slowly and say “around,” “up,” “down,” or “curve.”
- Let your child repeat the same shape if they enjoy it.
- Stop while the game still feels calm.
Offline Follow-Up
Trace a circle on paper, in the air, on a pillow, or on your child’s palm. You can also use finger painting, sidewalk chalk, or a dry erase board when available.
Sensory-Friendly Notes
The game avoids flashing lights and loud rewards. The glow is meant to feel peaceful rather than exciting. If a child becomes overstimulated, shift to an offline tracing activity.
